From the boldest of blues, to the prettiest of pinks, to the brightest of yellows… Sapphires come in just about every colour you can imagine and are one of the most versatile gemstones in the world.  The most sought-after sapphires are mined in Sri Lanka (Ceylon), Myanmar (also known as Burma), Madagascar and Kashmir.

The majority of sapphires used around the world (around 99%) are treated in some way. At Anglo-Continental, our beautiful sapphires are mostly heat treated, but we also use completely untreated natural sapphires in some of our designs. Laboratory certificates of authenticity for these rare, unheated stones are available at a small additional cost.
