Tourmaline Jewellery

If variety is the spice of life, then the tourmaline would be the richest spice of all. This incredible gem appears in more colours and colour combinations than any other stone… its name even comes from the Sinhalese word ‘turmali’ – meaning ‘mixed!’ From majestic reds (rubellites), to mixes of green and pink (bi-colour or ‘watermelon’), to the icy blue Paraiba (the most valuable of all!), there is truly no other gem like the tourmaline. The leading source of mined tourmaline is Brazil; however they are also mined in Africa and Asia.
